Like all woodworkers, I have an ever-growing collection of tools that need a proper home. This inevitably leads to a never-ending cycle of building a chest to hold tools, filling that chest with new tools, and repeating the process.

This was my first tool chest, built entirely from reclaimed timber: salvaged pallet boards, offcuts left behind in a local makerspace, and a resawn mahogany window sill. One of the details I still love most about this chest is the warm scent of pine every time the lid is lifted.
